Please help make our 5th graders’ final year at Linwood E. Howe Elementary an epic one!
Funds raised will go toward class t-shirts and sweatshirts, the 5th grade legacy project, the end-of-year party, promotion ceremony, Pali Camp, and so much more. (Keep scrolling to see all the details.)
If you’re able, please consider donating a little extra to help support families who may not be able to contribute — ensuring every 5th grader can participate fully in these milestone events.
Prefer to donate by check? Simply drop it in the PTA mailbox at the front of the school. Please mark it "5th Grade Fundraising" and include your student’s first and last name.
Thank you for helping us give our students a year they’ll always remember!

What We’re Fundraising For
Pali Camp
April 13-15, 2026
Our 5th graders will have the opportunity to go on a 2-night overnight trip to Pali Camp, a science and outdoor institute in the San Bernardino Mountains.
The district will not cover any of the costs for this trip, so we’ll need to raise the full amount of $40,080.
5th Grade T-shirts
Each 5th grader will receive a class t-shirt, which usually features the names of all the students. They’ll wear the t-shirts for the class panoramic photo which will take place in the Spring.
Middle School Sweatshirts
We’ll be gifting each 5th grader a CCMS sweatshirt as a graduation present. It’ll be their very first piece of official middle school swag to celebrate the exciting next chapter ahead!
5th Grade End-of-Year Party
This will be held at the end of the school year and is a fantastic day for the fifth graders to bond & have fun together as a class before they head off to middle school. In previous years, each class celebrated in different ways, including a picnic and games at Vets Park, swimming at the Plunge, visiting Boomers, and taking a studio tour with a movie screening at Sony. Once we get into planning, we will determine what makes the most sense logistically & financially, while still offering a super fun day.
5th Grade Promotion
The promotion ceremony will take place in the morning during the last week of school, when the graduates will receive their diplomas, sing songs, give speeches, and celebrate together.
We’ll have decorations (balloon columns for the stage, a Lin Howe banner for photo ops, and other festive touches) and a short slideshow.
